Engineering Analysis and Evaluation

Petrosage is experienced in carrying out routine and refined engineering analysis in support of the asset integrity management frame work or brownfield modification projects. This includes assessments to confirm integrity against confirmed anomalies, or increased loading.

We have core competencies in the following areas of assessments for structural and non-structural systems:

• Linear and non-linear static and dynamic finite element analysis.
• Deterministic fatigue analysis and fracture mechanics assessments.
• Risk assessments and numerical analysis for accidental damage issues such as boat impact, fire or blast, dropped crane loads, caisson failure, trawl loads on Subsea structures.
• Global and upheaval buckling of pipeline systems and mitigation measures.
• Free span analysis (Riser and Pipelines).

We have experience with various software packages and as such we are able to accommodate most client requests.

We can also undertake engineering surveys to obtain airgap and platform tilt using GPS techniques as well as to assess verticality of local structures such as flare towers or vent stacks. We can also carry out rigging assessments, design and third party design checks. This includes design of lifting points and local member checks.
